Why should I use Driver Robot to update my audio drivers?

Driver Robot can detect audio hardware that Windows can't recognizeEach type of audio hardware - both onboard and offboard - has its own unique identifier (called a PCI ID) that identifies it to the operating system. Windows' PCI ID software is grossly out of date - almost 6 years now if you're using XP, and 2 if you're using Vista! - so it can't see many types of audio cards. Driver Robot's PCI ID database is updated regularly, giving it a 99% success rate in identifying audio hardware that Windows can't. |

Driver Robot's driver database contains thousands of audio driversBlitware Technology Inc., the creators of Driver Robot, have spent thousands of hours building a massive database of every available Windows audio driver. Mainstream companies like Realtek, Creative, and SoundMax are all included - and so are more obscure manufacturers like Legacy, Yamaha, and Turtle Beach. Every audio driver in Driver Robot's database is the latest official release from the manufacturer - so you never have to worry about compatibility. |

Special hardware feature compatibilityFor Windows to use the special features of your sound card (like mixing, multiple inputs and outputs, recording settings, etc.), it needs the correct driver. Because Driver Robot always gets you the latest official driver release for your computer's sound card, you can be assured that special features will work flawlessly. |

Driver Robot correctly identified every piece of hardware installed in our test computer, including a particularly troublesome Creative-based sound card that we couldn't get Windows to recognize on its own.
-
Device driver report
Driver Robot then presented us with a complete report on the health of our system's drivers, allowing us to identify out-of-date and incorrect drivers. The broken audio driver we were trying to fix was highlighted with a big red "X".
The version number on the sound card driver that Driver Robot found for us matched the manufacturer's (Creative, in this case) most recent release.
-
Automatic installation of audio drivers
Once we had selected the audio driver we wanted to update, Driver Robot automatically contacted the Creative web server and downloaded the driver for us.
It didn't stop there, however - not only did Driver Robot locate and download the correct driver for our sound card, but it also installed it! We were totally blown away with how easy it was.
