Webcam driver update
I couldn't get my Logitech camera working properly until Driver Robot put the right driver on my machine for me. Thanks driver guys.

Webcams entered the market as clunky, low-resolution peripherals. Driver support was abysmal and the picture quality was equally poor. Thankfully, the devices have improved much since then - resolutions up to 2MP are available, and Windows can often install the drivers automatically. However, many webcams have special features that require a specific driver from the manufacturer. We use Driver Robot in these instances, since it automatically finds and installs the correct driver for any webcam.
Driver Robot automatically updates:
- Sound card drivers
- Printer drivers
- Video card drivers
- Motherboard drivers
- Webcam drivers
- Wireless drivers
- Bluetooth drivers
- FireWire drivers
- Ethernet drivers
- Windows XP drivers
- Windows Vista drivers
- USB drivers
- Chipset drivers
- AC97 drivers
- DVD drivers
- Router drivers

Three reasons to use Driver Robot to update your webcam drivers:
You always get the exact driver for your specific webcam model.
Because webcams vary so widely on features and specifications - resolution, face tracking, motorization, remote control abilities, etc - it's not surprising that each camera has its own driver. Finding the specific driver that was meant for your camera is difficult, however, which is why we use Driver Robot to do it for us.
The webcam drivers are automatically installed by Driver Robot.
Not only does Driver Robot find the right driver for your camera, it guides you through the entire installation process of the driver. This reduces the chances of misconfiguring your camera's driver, and practically guarantees that your webcam will be functioning flawlessly at the end of the process.
Driver Robot keeps you informed about webcam driver updates.
Webcam manufacturers like Creative, Logitech, and Apple are always finding ways to improve their webcams through software updates. Staying on top of these updates manually is tedious. Driver Robot automatically checks your webcam's manufacturer for updates, and installs them for you when they're available.
Step-by-step: How Driver Robot updated our webcam driver for us
Preparation and driver scan
To prepare for the test, we attached a Logitech QuickCam Orbit AF to our system via USB, without installing the drivers. Windows noticed something had been plugged in, but couldn't tell what.
When we then ran Driver Robot, it immediately detected that we had a QuickCam attached to our system that was missing its drivers.
Driver report and recommendations
The second step in the Driver Robot process is to review the driver scan for hardware on your system that may have outdated or missing drivers.
Since Driver Robot picked up our driver-less QuickCam so quickly, we weren't surprised when it recommended a driver update for our webcam.
Automatic driver installation
Lastly, Driver Robot will automatically download and driver updates it finds for devices connected to your computer.
In about 2 minutes, Driver Robot had downloaded the entire QuickCam webcam suite from Logitech, and our camera was working 100%.
We recommend Driver Robot for updating your webcam drivers.
After our thorough tests on a variety of test machines and webcams, we can confidently recommend Driver Robot to you for automatic updating of your webcam drivers.
